Объектом выступают популярные русскоязычные фильмы и музыкальные треки. Применяя комплексный подход, сочетающий методы анализа документов и дискурс-анализа, авторы рассматривают представленность традиционной и новой форм маскулинности в популярных фильмах, текстах песен. Для анализа эмпирического материала был разработан авторский классификатор. Исследование было проведено в рамках новой этики. В проанализированном медиаконтенте традиционный тип маскулинности пока остается доминирующим. Массовая культура, по большей части, укрепляет традиционные гендерные представления, демонстрируя мужчин, идентичность которых строится на насилии и эмоциональной сдержанности. Направления дальнейших исследований связаны с оценкой влияния традиционной и новой маскулинности на построении межличностных отношений, проверке гипотезы о связи традиционной маскулинности и толерантности к насилию в различных формах.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This study aims to compare popular representations of masculinity in Russian-language mass culture with the online user queries related to masculinity. The research focuses on the images of masculinity presented in contemporary Russian media content. Employing a comprehensive approach combining document analysis and discourse analysis, the authors examine the prevalence of traditional and new forms of masculinity in popular films and song lyrics. A custom-designed classifier was developed to analyze and categorize the empirical data. The analysis revealed that traditional masculinity remains dominant in the examined media content. Mass culture, for the most part, reinforces traditional gender roles, portraying men whose identities are constructed around violence and emotional restraint.
